hey! i'm yvette.

I’m so glad you’re here! I’m from New Zealand, but I now call Scotland home.

Over the past few years I’ve been on some wild adventures; I’ve lived in a van in the Canadian Rockies, worked in the mountains at a ski resort, hiked the Stairway to Heaven in Hawaii, and in 2018 I hiked the length of Scotland solo.

Wayfaring Kiwi is a Scotland adventure travel blog. Whether it’s hiking, snowboarding or simply being in nature- I love being outdoors and going on adventures. I inspire people to go off the beaten path in Scotland, so you will find plenty of helpful and unique travel advice here.

In 2019 I made the exciting decision to quit my job to become a full-time travel blogger, so most weeks I’m off exploring different parts of Scotland.

I live in a tiny 11th century village in West Lothian, Scotland, with my husband, the Haggis.
