Canada

Canada is a country I spent an incredible two years living in, learning to snowboard and travelling around in my van during the summer!

Best time to visit

If you’re a ski bum or snowboarder- winter is the best time to visit Canada! If you’re more into warmer climates, spring and autumn are good times to visit to avoid the tourist crowds.

Canada Travel Tip

One of the best ways to travel around Canada is in a campervan or motorhome. I purchased a converted van when I lived in Canada and used it to travel around in- I had the best time!

Currency

Canadian Dollar (CAD). If you hear Canadians talking about loonies and toonies- they’re not talking about crazy city folk! A loonie is $1 and a toonie is $2. Contactless or tap payments are widely accepted.

Favourite destinations

I love British Columbia in the winter, and Alberta in the spring or autumn. Big White Ski Resort is my ski resort of choice, and Banff National Park is an absolute must-see any time of the year.
