Working on a campaign with Festivals Edinburgh

Hello! I’m Yvette and I’m a full-time travel blogger/content creator based near Edinburgh in Scotland. I have grown a loyal and engaged social media audience of over 300,000; my goal with the work that I do is to help my readers and followers have amazing experiences and create memories they will carry with them for life!

I love working with DMOs and tourism businesses in Scotland and all around the world that give people incredible and unique experiences.

If you would like to receive my media kit simply email me at with the subject ‘Working together’.

I look forward to working with you!

***Please note this is my full-time job, and I am not able to work for free or accept gifts in exchange for marketing on my social media channels and blog. I offer a professional service, which includes photography, videography, editing, SEO research, content creation, marketing, and much, much more!

I also do not accept paid link placement (which is against Google’s policy).

I am proud to operate my business with honesty and integrity and have a loyal following who book based on my recommendations because they trust my advice. My ROI is excellent and businesses that I work with receive a high degree of coverage that lasts longer than ad placement in more traditional forms of media (magazines, print media, online directories, etc). ***

My story

I live in West Lothian, Scotland with my husband, our 1-year-old son, Alex, and our labrador, Angus. I’m originally from New Zealand, but in 2016 I decided to leave home and travel the world. I have visited over 20 countries- but I’m by no means in any rush. I love slow travel and spending as much time in a country as I can to soak up the local culture, versus racing around trying to check things off a bucket list.

Travelling with a toddler has certainly reinforced this style of travel for me- I just love bringing wee Alex on our adventures. He’s already been to 16 Scottish islands, and 6 countries!

My first love is Scotland, and a very close second is travel- and these are at the heart of Wayfaring Kiwi. Over the years some of my adventures have included:

  • Hiking the length of Scotland solo
  • Visiting 25 Scottish islands
  • Travelling to the USA, Canada and New Zealand with a toddler
  • Learning to snowboard and completing two ski seasons in Canada
  • Living and travelling in a campervan in the Canadian Rockies
  • Starting a tour company – Kiwi and Haggis Tours!

How we can work together

Social Media campaign – I can create content about your business or destination on my social media channels and newsletter. This includes reels, posts, and stories for Facebook, my Facebook group/s, Instagram and TikTok. I also give your business coverage in my monthly newsletter, which has a 45% opening rate and is delivered to over 40,000 Scotland lovers!

Blog post writing – I can write about your business in a highly engaging, SEO-optimised blog post for my website or yours. My blog ranks really well on Google thanks to my well-researched and well-written content. A blog post published on my website offers great ROI- I continue to share my blog posts on my social media channels for years to come!

Social media campaign + blog post – This is my most popular option. A social media campaign is great for instant bookings and coverage, while a blog post will continue to bring you customers for years to come.

Professional Photography – While professional photography is included with my above services, I can also provide you with professional photography for your website, social media channels or stock library. I use a Sony A7III (one of the best all-purpose cameras around) and I have a high-quality lens kit.

Affiliate partnerships – I am also open to creating affiliate partnerships with suitable businesses. If you are wanting to reach my Scotland Travel Tips Facebook group audience, an affiliate partnership is a good fit.
